The sites are rated on Vardaman's fish.
The following rating scales apply:
Four - Excellent site. Even Darl himself could not explain his family
better.
Three - Okay site. Not quite as good as a four but not as bad as a
two.
Two - Decent information. However, Vardaman could articulate the
information clearer.
One - Bottom of the food chain. Addie would be rolling over in her
grave if she accessed this site.

William Faulkner on the Web
This is THE Faulkner site on the web.
Too much information to list in a simple paragraph.
As I Lay Dying Commentary (This site is part of the above site)
Easily understandable summaries of the
story, the Bundren family journey, and the threats they face along the
way. Contains links to the "Faulkner Glossary," which contains
explanations of all the characters, Yoknapatawpha County, as well as other
Faulkner novels.

The Bundren Family Christmas Special
This site looks at the Bundren family's
disfunction from a talk show point of view. This site is extremely humorous
but not much value in research other than a good laugh.
NYU Faulkner Site
Contains only brief summary and commentary
on the novel, but also helpful links to larger research topics. Such topics
are mental illnes and narrative as a method.
Center
for Faulkner Studies
This site contains information about William
Faulkner as a writer. The site also includes a series of critical essays
about As I Lay Dying.

Teaching
Faulkner
Deals with the significance of characters'
names. Very helpful if this is the particular aspect for which a scholar
is looking. However, there is not much about the book as a whole.
Nobel
Faulkner Site
Interesting information about Faulkner
inlcuding biographical information. The site also has articles relating
to his work, etc. However, there is not much about As I Lay Dying.
Discussion
Forum
Bland visually, but offers extensive (and
we do mean extensive) opinions on As I Lay Dying. It is an open
and continuing discussion on themes and arguments on the novel.

French Faulkner
Foundation
This site has a lot of information pertaining
to Faulkner himself. However, the site has little information about the
novel.
University of Virginia
This site contains a tour of some of Faulkner's
personal items. The site has no real research value but does contain a
picture of the manuscript to As I Lay Dying.
Mississippi Musicians and Writers
In short, the site contains little about
Faulkner and nothing about the novel.
